Marte Edvardsen started surfing during a trip to Sri Lanka in 2019 and now enjoys this hobby along Norway's coastline. She regularly surfs at local spots like Alnes and Stad, finding both challenge and peace in the water.
"Surfing helps me clear my mind," Marte says. "It's something that takes you away from daily tasks while giving you both a sense of calm and achievement."
With a background in nursing and later education in Marketing from NTNU, Marte was drawn to Seaonics by the chance to work in the maritime industry. Growing up with connections to the sea through her grandfather's fishing, she finds the scale of the maritime sector fascinating.
At Seaonics, Marte values the friendly work environment. Moving from healthcare to a more technical industry has been smooth thanks to helpful colleagues and a supportive workplace culture.
"Working in marketing at Seaonics lets me connect our specialist technology with the people who need it. Telling the stories behind our products – how they give customers the upper hand in challenging conditions – is what makes this job rewarding."
