At Seaonics, we give customers the upper hand when it matters most. Our specialized knowledge turns costly downtime into smooth operations.

Torstein Lianes - Technical Sales Engineer

As a Technical Sales Engineer in Seaonics' aftermarket division, Torstein Lianes brings the same energy to his job as he does to his mountain skiing adventures around Ålesund. He finds both thrill and calm in reaching summits, especially when skiing all the way down to sea level.

"I like how mountain skiing combines fun with good exercise," says Torstein.

His love for outdoors includes skiing, kiting, climbing, and other activities that make the most of Ålesund's unique location between mountains and sea.

Torstein joined Seaonics' technical team around 2014, later moving to aftermarket sales. His work has included major projects like the research vessel Kronprins Haakon and service assignments across the world – from Congo to Greenland.

His position at Seaonics gives him both technical challenges and travel opportunities. The recent growth at Seaonics and stronger focus on aftermarket services has created new possibilities that align with his skills.

"What I value most about working at Seaonics is how we deliver the upper hand to customers in tough situations. When a vessel is stuck in a remote location, our specialized knowledge makes the difference between costly downtime and smooth operations."
